  • wed: Rowing machine. Rowed 7.0 km for 40 minutes at 6.52 mph. Pretty good row I am hoping my doctor will say it is ok to start bracnig both feet in stirrups
  • sat: on inside mounted bike. Rode 7.0 miles for 30 minutes at 14.00 mph. I got the all clear to start cycling on a stationary bike. I got an indoor trainer and mounted my road bike. It was a little scary and my ankle tired quickly and started to let my foot pitch all over the place. I stopped at that point.
  • sat: rowing machine. Rowed 2.3 km for 20 minutes at 4.29 mph. I am now rowing in proper alignment, with both feet braced in stirrups. Wow makes a huge difference and feel great.
  • sun: Indoor mounted road bike. Rode 14.0 miles for 50 minutes at 16.80 mph. Great ride with no ankle issues. My right foot is still too swollen to fit into my biking shoes so I had to use tennis shoes. Nice ride.
  • sun: rowing machine. Rowed 2.7 km for 15 minutes at 6.71 mph. Tacked on some rowing to finish out the cardio workout.

  • tue: Solid row. Rowed 5.0 km for 30 minutes at 6.15 mph. Funny.. My swollen foot shrinks when I row. I think it is the circulation pumping the blood pooling in my useless limb.
  • tue: Rowing workout. Rowed 5.0 km for 32 minutes at 5.77 mph. Still trying to find the right way to do this… been putting my right foot on a skateboard so it slides back and forth, but that makes my left glut cramp up. Still.. nice to work up the sweat!

  • wed: Row, row, row the machine. Rowed 6.0 km for 45 minutes at 4.97 mph. I need to build up to longer sessions. My arms wear out before the rest of my body does.
  • sat: Rowing workout. Rowed 6.0 km for 38 minutes at 5.89 mph. I am out of the cast and into a boot. It is bigger and bulkier.. actually more difficult to row with.

  • fri: Time to change it up. Rowed 6.2 km for 40 minutes at 5.78 mph. Starting to design my workout routines for the next X months while I am recovering from Achilles rupture. First in my arsonal is my rowing machine. I let my gimpy leg rest on the side and row ad normal… I think I will try putting it on a skateboard and see if it can roll back and forth as I row.
  • sun: row, row, row the boat (machine). Rowed 7.0 km for 44 minutes at 5.88 mph. Good row. In other news I have mastered going up the stairs in crutches and am starting to feel pretty confident about going down stairs. The first step down is the mos terrifying.
