  • tue: Recovery from long run. Pace marathon pace + 1 Intervals of Run 3min, walk 30 seconds. Should be about 4.5 – 5 miles. Ran 4.4 miles for 57 minutes at 12:56 pace. Garmin Edge 205305
  • sat: Long run at MM*1.3+2 min pace, run 3 min, walk 30 seconds. Ran 12.2 miles for 142 minutes at 11:44 pace. I changed this run to be 4 min run 30 second walk. For most of the run except the last 2 miles I felt really great. My heart rate was a tad too fast and once again I probably ran this too fast fopr a training run

  • wed: Run marathon pace using a runwalk ratio of run 2:30, walk 1 minute. Break up paced miles with light jogging.. Ran 2.7 miles for 29 minutes at 10:56 pace. Garmin Edge 205305
  • thu: Longer mid week easy run. This is mostly to build miles for the week.. Ran 4.2 miles for 50 minutes at 11:57 pace. Garmin Edge 205305
  • sat: Long run at MM*1.3+2 min pace, run 3 min, walk 30 seconds. Ran 10.2 miles for 117 minutes at 11:26 pace. Garmin Edge 205305

  • mon: Recovery from long run. Pace marathon pace + 1 Intervals of Run 3min, walk 30 seconds. Should be about 4.5 – 5 miles. Ran 4.8 miles for 61 minutes at 12:48 pace. Garmin Edge 205305
  • tue: Continuous run, 3 miles. Ran 3.0 miles for 33 minutes at 11:00 pace. No issues. Felt good.
  • fri: Longer mid week easy run. This is mostly to build miles for the week.. Ran 4.8 miles for 57 minutes at 12:02 pace. Nice and easy, no issues. Really cold though!
  • sat: Cutback week, shorter run of 5 miles. Ran 4.8 miles for 53 minutes at 11:08 pace. Garmin Edge 205305

Today I finished week 7 of my 26 week training schedule for the Boston Marathon with a total of  126 training miles run so far.   Last Saturday I completed a 11.2 mile long run without even having to call my wife to rescue me!   I met with the team coaches and the rest of the Miles for Miracles marathon team last week.  It was nice to put some faces to the names!   Next week the long run bumps up to 13 miles, so wish me luck.

So far you have helped raise $4,137 towards my goal of $6,000 for Children’s Hospital and I think that is great progress at this point!  If you have not yet had an opportunity to register your sponsorship you can do so here.

  • tue: Recovery from long run. Pace marathon pace + 1 Intervals of Run 3min, walk 30 seconds. Should be about 4.5 – 5 miles. Ran 2.4 miles for 27 minutes at 11:30 pace. TREADMILL: only had time for half hour
  • wed: Run marathon pace using a runwalk ratio of run 2:30, walk 1 minute. Break up paced miles with light jogging.. Ran 3.8 miles for 50 minutes at 13:26 pace. TREADMILL: it was raining
  • sat: Long run at marathon pace+90, run 3 min, walk 30 seconds. Ran 11.2 miles for 146 minutes at 13:04 pace. Excellent run. I started out slow for first 3 miles and then naturally started drifting a tad faster when I was completely warmed up. Ended up finishing at 12:08 pace (including walk breaks)
