I am rating this 4 out of 5 stars because all things considered I love the product and based on my research there really isn’t an alternative. I am training for a marathon and I use this watch running 20+ miles a week and have been using the watch for a month now. I use it mostly for the post-running analytics, but it does also provide a lot of helpful feedback while running. As many people have mentioned the current pace calculation while running is almost useless. I wish I could say otherwise, but the lag on real-time pace makes it extremely inconsistent. I am sure it is using some sort of average over a sliding window of distance and time to get the number, but that means it lags quite a bit. You can’t really look down and say, oh I need to speed it up. The lap pace mode can be more helpful there. I don’t blame the watch. There is nothing it can do about that. Just don’t buy this thinking it can work some magic and tell you instantly your pace at any moment in time.

I know some people have had issues with the watch taking a long time to synchronize with satellites, but I think I figured out that issue. If you turn on your watch inside, then walk out to your driveway then it takes a long time to sync. But if you wait until you are outside and then turn it on it will sync in about 5 seconds. At least that has been my experience.
